Robax Platinum is manufactured by Pfizer and Actient Pharmaceuticals in Canada and the U.S. respectively, and it was approved for use by the FDA in 1957.
Robax Platinum is a dual action drug that is prescribed for people who are suffering from muscle pain, spams and back pain. It works by relaxing muscles as well as blocking pain receptors in the brain, leading to a lessened sensation of pain. This is not an over the counter drug.

How Does Robax Platinum Work?

The two medications that help this drug work effectively are ibuprofen and methocarbamol. The former goes to work in parts of the brain that are populated by opioid receptors, responsible for the perception and sensation of pain. When these receptors are blocked by the drug’s molecules, the patient’s pain threshold rises.
Methocarbamol, on the other hand, is a muscle relaxant which helps loosen up tissue tension as well as stimulate the release of neurochemicals such as gamma aminobutyric acid which is implicated in states of relaxation. This drug is also a central nervous system depressant, so caution is needed for those that work with heavy machinery or drive often.
